A technician examines rice seedlings at a smart farm in Chongqing’s Yongchuan district on Monday. With an area of more than 4,600 square meters, the farm’s greenhouse has the capacity to cultivate rice seedlings for 800 hectares of paddies. The farm, which significantly reduces the costs of water, fertilizer and labor, can also be used to grow vegetable seedlings.
